5 minutes – Dynamic stretching. Everything is halfcourt and back to the baseline
- High knees
- Butt kicks
- Karaoke
- Frankenstein’s
- Forward lunge to half court then backward lung back
- 50% speed to half court and back
- 75% speed to half court and back
- 100% speed to half court and back
Dribbling
- Zig Zag Dribbing using change of direction moves: Crossover, Between the legs and Behind the Back Dribbles (Drill 302)
- Set up cones to work on drills. See what level your players can reach from Rookie to MVP.
Defense
- Work on defensive footwork: Lane slides, Sprints, Close outs and Back peddling (Drill 332)
- Partner Zig-Zag dribble
- One person starts with the ball on the baseline. The partner is directly in front of the ball handler in a defensive stance.
- The person with the ball will take 3 dribbles in one direction and the change directions with either a crossover, between the legs or behind the back. The other partner will work on sliding their feet and stay in front of the ball handler until they get to half court.
- They will switch and go back towards the baseline once they get to half court.
Shooting
- Work on 2 spot shooting - focus on good footwork and good form (Drill 322)
- Partner shooting. One partner will shoot from 2 spots on the court. The other partner will start with the ball under the basket facing their partner.
- The partner with the ball will rebound and pass to their partner who will then take a jump shots from 2 spots.
- Once the partner either makes 5 shots or takes 10 shots they will switch. (You can have up to 3 pairs at a time).

- Focus on making strong and accurate passes
- Cutting without the ball
- Staying in front of your man on defense
